If you are not getting the mileage out of your tires that you think you should be getting try these tips to help preserve your precious rubber. 1. Heavy Down Shifting drags the tire across the road causing premature tire wear. 2. Only using your rear brake will also cause rubber loss. Use your rear brake as little as possible, but also use common sense. If you need it use it. 3. Air pressure is probably the worst thing you can do to your tire. This is what we see here in the service department. Low air pressure will cause the tire to heat up due to friction, and Friction is the enemy. Please refer to your owners manual for the correct settings when it comes to air pressure in your tires.
